landscape workshop
In this guided, step by step workshop I will share with you my knowledge of oil pastels.
You will learn how to create a beautiful landscape painting, where you will explore texture, composition and colour together over the course of two hours.
In this workshop I will teach you all the techniques necessary to create a unique artwork, including all of the key elements of landscape paintings using oil pastels.
Like all of my workshops, I tailor my classes to suit all ability levels for adults and teens alike. I understand that learning a new skill can be daunting, but rest assured there is no need to feel overwhelmed at the idea of landscape painting - I break down every stage into small, achievable steps.
In the class we focus on foreground, middle-ground and background in three distinct sections and build upon them layer by layer. Through techniques of mark-making, layering and blending you will create a beautiful and unique landscape painting.
You will experiment with a number of different tools to obtain a variety of visual textures by blending, layering and painting with the pastels.
I will give on the spot feedback to your questions throughout the class.
