St Joseph's National School

During this illustration workshop, the 5th and 6th class students explored and illustrated the life of Willie Brennan, the legendary 18th-century Irish highwayman who became a celebrated “Robin Hood” figure in Irish folklore. Working with a range of drawing media, they brought their texts vividly to life through their artwork.

Plein Air Workshop at Fota House

Whenever we visit Fota House & Gardens we first get a tour of the fantastic landscape collection.
The collection is comprised of work from William Ashford, Thomas Roberts, George Mullins and much more. It is considered to be one of the finest collections of landscape paintings outside the National Gallery of Ireland.
This house tour always inspires the students before we go into the surrounding gardens to paint en plain air.

Visited with 2nd Year students from St Colemans Community College Midleton as part of Creative Schools Week 2022.
